Named “Moonpie” by it’s owner, this concert ukulele features a Pale Moon Ebony body with custom inlaid details. Although not a common soundboard wood, this black & white ebony top gives a rich, resonate tone. Gabon Ebony rosette, headstock overlay, bindings, bridge, & fretboard add visual contrast to this unique instrument.

This was a fun project. Betty wanted a unique ukulele that would honor her family memories. We collaborated on a design with a dragonfly as a central element – simple details that would balance with the striking natural beauty of the Pale Moon Ebony. Dragonflies are Koa and Maple, adding subtle color elements.
